About Our Pastor
Reverend Dr. J.Q. Wooten Sr.
The Reverend Dr. Jeremy Quintrell Wooten Sr. is an energetic, faithful, and loving pastor, husband, father, visionary, preacher, teacher, and community advocate with a heart for God, God’s people, and the entire community. Pastor Wooten was born and raised in Coldwater, Mississippi. He was licensed as a preacher in the Lord’s church at the age of 13 years old. Quickly after a few sermons he became one of the mid-south’s fastest emerging young preachers with preaching 30+ Sundays out of 52 a year. At a young age he was conducting weeks of revival and asked to speak at many different educational entities. In June of 2017 he made history and was elected at 23 years old as the youngest preacher to ever Pastor Ella Green Missionary Baptist Church in Arkabutla, Ms. Where he served 6 years faithfully. In December of 2023, God blessed Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church to break history also and we elected our youngest Pastor ever to serve. Dr. Wooten is a graduate of E.T. Theological Seminary in KCMO and received several degrees such as his (ThB), (ThM), and (PhD/DMin). One of his mentors of whom he’s learned so much from and honor, was the leadership/guidance/direction of the late Bishop Dr. Carl Landrum Sr. D.Min (His Professor).Dr. Wooten is the President of the world renowned gospel quartet group, “The Spiritual Soldiers” of Coldwater, Mississippi. Of whom have received numerous awards including but certainly not limited to: GTA (Golden Triangle Awards), Jackson Music Awards, and in 2019 the Spiritual Solders broke record and became the first gospel group to have ever been nominated for a Stellar Award in North Mississippi. Dr. Wooten is truly one of God’s anointed and appointed preachers and vocalist of our time. Leadership is in Dr. Wooten’s DNA. Dr. Wooten is also privilege to be the Senior Regional Director at Randstad. With several years of provide
leadership accomplishments. He has led several amazing teams such as City Gear Headquarters Customer Service Team, FedEx Call Center, US Toy Call Center Director, and etc. With skillful hands and integrity of heart, Dr. Wooten has led the congregation of Zion Hill- Hernando to be a compassionate and caring community with a commitment to proclamation, protest, and practice. At ZHMBC the transforming love of God touches the wounded and broken.Dr. Wooten travels extensively, conducting services, revivals, and seminars. He is a man with a heart for God and God’s people. Dr. Wooten is married to our beautiful First Lady, Countess Wooten. Together they have 3 beautiful children Jeremy Wooten Jr., Jaleia Wooten, and Jamyra Wooten. All of whom he loves tremendously. We are blessed to have such and anointed man of GOD. And certainly the best is yet to COME.
